ADVANTAGES OF THE ANALOGUE DCVG cont.

Possible to determine Depth of Burial of the pipeline from DCVG Measurements.

The Corrosivity Factor, a measure of the protective nature of the inorganic film on the steel surface at a Coating Fault can be calculated from DCVG Measurements.

Easy to Operate technique with user friendly, flexible Equipment.

Possible to detect Coating Faults the size of a fingernail buried two metres down.

The Technique can be used to survey pipelines buried under Concrete and Asphalt paving. Some modifications to the normal survey method are required.

The accuracy of the DCVG Technique allows surveying to be carried out in complex pipeline networks such as City Streets, Process Plant and Tank Farms.

The analogue DCVG Technique can be used to survey pipelines under Overhead Power Lines. AC does not interfere with the DCVG technique.

The Analogue DCVG Technique can be operated at the same time as an AC Pipe Locator.

Because there is no trailing cable the technique is not interfered with by animals, people etc. that could break a trailing cable.

Because there are no attachments it is possible to survey difficult terrain, such as steep banks or hills, areas of high vegetation etc.
